Alternative Therapies

Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine that has been used for healing people for centuries. This, safe, non-invasive alternative therapy encourages the body to heal itself or produce a healing response.

Very small, sterile needles are inserted into the skin and underlying tissue at specific locations on the body, known as “trigger points” to stimulate a response. Each trigger point stimulates a physiological effect. This can include: relieving muscle spasms, increasing blood circulation, a release in certain hormones and stimulating nerves.

Acupuncture can be used to help treat a range of conditions including: arthritis, weakness, degenerative joint disease, osteoarthritis, neurologic diseases and much more.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is another safe, non-invasive and painless treatment that can be used on its own or along with conventional treatment.

You may be imagining a hot-red light, but laser therapy utilizes light on a very low setting to promote and stimulate the healing process by deeply penetrating tissue without actually damaging it. The laser emission is a gentle, warm, soothing sensation that most-often relaxes the pet.

When laser energy is absorbed by injured cells, the interaction provides both instantaneous and long-lasting pain relief. The release of endorphins stimulates cells resulting in faster and more compete healing.

At times, results and relief can start to be seen within hours or may take just a few sessions, depending on your pet and the condition being treated.

Laser therapy can be used for: arthritis, degenerative joint disease, post-surgical pain relief, rehabilitation, torn-muscles and more!
